The most spectacular announcement at Web Summit Lisbon was that driverless cars by Waymo (daughter company of Google) will go live in Phoenix, Arizona! After testing autonomous driving since 2009 they are now the first company to release a flood of cars into the open. Inhabitants of Phoenix will be able to call the cars with an app and use them as long as they want. They showed an amazing demo and they’re are planning to expand to other cities when the tests are successful. Very exciting and even sooner than expected!
