KPMG recently published the 2019 Autonomous Vehicles Readiness Index(AVRI) where they assess countries’ preparedness for autonomous vehicles. I discuss the AVRI with KPMG Partner Loek Kramer & Manager Digital Advisory Stijn de Groen. It turns out that the Netherlands is, once again, ranked #1! Notably, it is working with neighboring countries to launch huge platoons of driverless trucks to transport flowers on major “Tulip Corridor” routes in Europe. Which country is ranked #2? How were countries assessed? What advantages and changes will autonomous vehicles bring?
