Wifi, everyone’s using it, but how is it developing? At the Aerohive Experience day I discuss all the latest Wifi trends with (VP Products & Marketing) Alan Cuellar Amrod. Why would I care for the new Wifi 6 standard (801.11AX: 12 Gigabit) instead of what we’re using now and is already fast? Well, it’s faster, but also it uses 3x less battery power for mobile devices and is driven by Apple, Samsung and LG. YES, now we’re talking! It’s the last important standard for the next 20 years.

The network will use machine learning to become accurate and data-driven while AI will configure the network. Cloud Management is becoming more important. Aerohive is changing from a hardware company to a Cloud Management company which is now 50% of revenue.
